Having taught at both the University of Utah and Utah Valley University for many years, Kent now spends most of his time in Salt Lake City at his studio/gallery in Millcreek's Historic Baldwin Radio Factory where he teaches privately and hosts regular "Sip & Paint" events. He lectures on current London art exhibitions for the University of Utah's London 'GoLearn' program two or three times each year.  In June of 2023, his Pop Art rendition of Queen Elizabeth I's 1559 coronation portrait (c.1600) was included as part of a collaborative "Work in Progress" seven-panel collaged mural that reopened the National Portrait Gallery in London, and entered its permanent collection.
